The celebrations continue. As I write it is the 23rd Year Anniversary that I’ve been married to my lovely and all knowing Karin Barnes-Jarrette. Last month we enjoyed, or some avoided but I cannot imagine how, Queen Elizabeth’s II Jubilee Celebrations of 60 Years on the throne. I managed one or two events in Brighton to commemorate our Queen’s mega-milestone the last of which was a night at Havana Spoon at the invitation of Gemma Garrett of Hove’s popular Sun Lounge Salon. So as the Queen rounded off her year of touring I began the latest round of my own touring with five trips in and out of Moscow Russia and to several Russian cities performing for audiences of over 30,000 people in the Melodies of Bony M tribute band. I have just stepped off several jets and motorcades from our most recent gig, an open air 230th Birthday Celebration for the town of Ishim in Siberia. These trips are beyond glamorous with police escorts, bodyguards and interpreters to oversee our every need. It’s been a rush-rush month to get it all in as I also juggled my schedule to take in as much of Liz Bishops’ thoroughly enchanting and hectic Brighton Fashion Week. I managed the launch party for that and the main Zeitgeist catwalk show in the gorgeous All Saints Church in Hove. My fashion face that night was created by the talented Ange Watson of Yawoma Make-up and my blonde top by Vicky Allen at Usual Suspects Salons. I missed the fabulous Ailsa’s show with all her top girls in the ready-to-wear as I was worn out myself! Boo-hoo! I expect sharp words from the slick designer when next we clink flutes! I flew in from Moscow, again, to bundle myself, Karin and my dedicated photographer Melissa Buchanan up to London to attend the official UK book launch for Lady Colin Campbell’s book on the Queen Mother, The Untold Life of Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother which is on the New York Times Best Seller List giving my old friend Candace Bushnell a run for her money with her latest series of Sex and The City spin-offs about the young Carrie Bradshaw stories. Now, before I  fly back to Moscow I am off to the opening of TV Vet Marc Abraham’s new Grove Lodge Vet practice in Southwick with Zoe Ball stepping up to the ribbon plus signing-off my own original artwork for the cover of my Brighton novel Bags of Fish For Cats: Brighton Babylon!
