I don’t do things by half measures. No. In fact in the near past when it rained I’d have a word with the settled low pressure weather patterns and I’d say ‘sluice me down’. More than happy to oblige, the dark, churning, swollen-bellied rainclouds have opened up repeatedly and soaked me right through my hats to my bottle blonde roots. I can only apologise for my delusions of dialogue with nature that has resulted in us all having had to conduct our daily business submerged under six feet of water.  Still, we are all intrepid if not soggy socialites are we not? We haven’t had to fish around too hard for events to attend. I made a good jab with my speargun at a handful of entertaining evenings. Victoria Allen and Maryam Salehi of Usual Suspects Salons scored goals with a night of B&H footballers and music by Normanton Street for Macmillan Cancer Support. Local businessmen were in attendance as Usual introduced new stylist/Art Director Richard Auob (formerly Toni& Guy) and barber Eimilie Dieudonne (Formerly Gentlemen Prefer Blondes). I hosted the raffle channelling the presenting style of TV’s Super Casino! Weather held that night! Over the wet weeks we were at a surprise Baby Shower thrown for Absolute’s own Natalie Wileman by the model Marta Wicktoria Wolniak at Zizi restaurant. It rained! We also celebrated Karin’s birthday with drinks and yelling at the Connaught and then were transferred by our passionate, generous Italian amico Giovanni Dell’Anna to the hushed tones at Ginger Pig where we yelled even louder making toasts and decimating cheeseboards. Weather held! There were two shows that had my interest for the May Festival. The opening night of Salon Pasha www.goddamnmedia.com and the opening day at Black Gallery www.thebalckgallery.co.uk where I showed alongside five other exhibitors including our photographer Melissa Buchanan’s impacting photo imagery.  Weather held for both!  Lastly there was the birthday for Brighton’s tall, blonde Kath Marlow (soon to record the track Silly Games) where I ran into Billy Mauseth and Nicola Gunstone of the power team Regency Events hosts of the Eco Technology Show at Amex Stadium.
